AIPMT Exam

The AIPMT acronym of All India Pre Medical Test is a national level medical entrance exam conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. The students can get admission to MBBS and BDS courses in most of the medical colleges across the country by writing the AIPMT exam. Students appearing for this exam are tested on the following subjects- Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, also known as PCB.

The process of AIPMT exam consists of two levels of examinations. One is Preliminary conducted usually on the 1st Sunday of the April month and the second is Mains conducted in the month of May following.

All the students who wish to take admission to MBBS & BDS courses  have to do hard work for the entrance exam. The best scores in the exam will provide them an entry into a good medical college.

Preparation for AIPMT


Steps to be followed for fee to be paid through Demand Draft:
  • If you want to remit the fee by Demand Draft(D.D), get it ready before filling the Application Form.
  • Logon to the AIPMT website, fill the Application Form, note down the registration number which will be generated by the system and is required for payment of fee.
  • Fill the details of Demand Draft(D.D).
  • Take four printouts of Confirmation Page and a printout of Address Slip and complete the confirmation Page as per instructions given in Bulletin provided.
All the students who have a desire to be a doctor, they have to begin preparations for AIPMT exam. The students should start preparing in the beginning of class XI & XII. To make a good score they must prepare in a focused manner from a much reputed national level coaching institute.

Eligibility and Qualifications for AIPMT Exam

  • He has had completed the age of 17 years at the time of admissions or will complete the said age on or before 31st December of the same year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course and is an INDIAN NATIONAL. 

  • (ii) The upper age limit for the All India Pre-Medical /Pre-Dental Entrance Examination is kept at 25 years as on 31st December of the year of the entrance examinations. Further, this upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes(SC)/ Scheduled Tribes(ST)/Other Backward Classes(OBC). 

  • The students from the states of Andhra Pradesh(A.P)/J&K are not eligible for entrance examination, as both of these States had opted out of All India. They have to submit an affidavit, in original, in the Proforma on Rs 10/- Non-Judicial Stamp Paper duly sworn before & attested by a Metropolitan Magistrate/First Class Judicial Magistrate if they claim eligibility to the effect that:-
    a) They are not at all eligible to appear for MBBS/BDS seats in the States of Andhra Pradesh/J&K and hence not eligible to seek admission in Medical/ Dental Colleges of Andhra Pradesh/J&K. and
    b) They are not domiciled in Andhra Pradesh(A.P)/ J&K.

Note : Applications that are not accompanied with the required affidavits or accompanied with incomplete, unattested or photocopy of the affidavit shall be rejected without any further reference in the matter. The affidavits submitted by such candidates will be verified and if found false, the admission of all such candidates shall be cancelled and criminal proceedings may be initiated against them by the department.
